Frequently Asked Questions

How long is each session?

Each session varies from 20 minutes up to 3-4 hours. Our Newborn and Senior sessions are the longest and most expensive out of all the sessions, while my mini sessions are the shortest and least expensive.

What if I want more photos than what is include with the session?

If you purchase a session but want more photos than what is included, you are able to purchase more once you receive your online gallery. I am one of the very few photographers who uploads all the photos from your session so you can choose the exact photos you want to keep. If your session includes 15 digital images but you decide after you receive your gallery that you want 30 images, you will add the extra 15 images to your favorites and I will email you an invoice for the extra photos.

How much are extra digital images that I choose in my gallery?

Each extra photo you add to your favorites is $10 per photo. I will offer you a whole gallery discount or a large quantity discount by request.

When will I receive my proofing gallery?

You will receive your proofing gallery within a week from your session date.

When will I receive my edited photos?

Once you turn in your favorite photos from your proofing gallery, you should receive your edited photos within two to three weeks. This is depending on if the season is slow or busy.

When is the best time to book a newborn session?

It is best to book a newborn session one to two months before your due date. I only take a certain number of newborns per month so booking after baby is born is hard to find an opening.

How old is the newborn baby at the time of a newborn session?

I photograph newborn babies when they are only 5 to 10 days old. This insures a sleepy and womb like poses that you see in all my newborn photos. Photographing a baby older than 10 days becomes more difficult.

How do I prepare for my newborn session?

I will send you a parent packet when you book and reserve your session. It will give you step by step details to follow the day of your session so we will have the most successful session possible.

What happens during a newborn session if the parent decides not to follow the instructions on how to prepare for your newborn session?

If you decide not to follow the parent instructions, more than likely baby will not sleep during his/her session and be extremely fussy.

Why is it important for baby to be in a deep sleep during session?

This is to keep baby safe during the session. I do a lot of poses that you see in my photos that require baby to be in a deep comfortable sleep. If baby is awake, the poses cannot be done properly and will upset the baby. It is dangerous to put an awake baby in a prop because they are likely to hurt themselves by pushing right off the prop.

What happens during the session if my baby wont sleep?

If baby absolutely refuses to sleep, then I will wrap baby up in one of my newborn wraps to keep baby happy and try my best to finish the session.

Smash the Cake Session- Do you provide the cake?

I do not provide the cake during the session but I do have a cake stand
